XBox One

As an owner of the 360, I was initially disappointed about the announcement of the XBox One. Then I thought to myself of what I was disappointed about. When I don't look at the machine as a gaming machine, I can eventually understand the stance of Microsoft and where they're attempting to position the XBox One.

My console experiement

I am going to try an experiment with this next generation. Currently, I am the owner of an XBox 360, a PS3, a Wii, and a WiiU.

Black Ops 2. Pointless?

I haven't played Black Ops 2 in close to a month and that was a single gaming session. Prior to that, it was another three weeks of M.I.A. from the game. My regular gaming buddies were wondering what happened to me.

Nintendo Fan once again

I've been the biggest Nintendo fan boy lately. With all the negative press that this company is receiving I find myself looking for reasons to support their decisions. No big conference at E3 this year? Sure, no problem! I can understand why. The media will find a way to trash them anyway.

An evening of rage

I quit so many games last night. I didn't do my usual dashboard. I simply left the game. My time was limited and I wanted to enjoy it, but the games that I was placed in prevented me from that.

Battlefield 3 does work!

I tried Battlefield 3 for the PC again last night. This time, however, I decided to update my display drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 59XX series. It was a simple matter of going to their website [1] and grabbing the latest catalyst software. All this happened after a friend gave me several suggestions on what to do and me replying, "Hey now! I know how to run my computer!".

Battlefield 3 on my PC

Last night, I tried Battlefield 3 for the PC. I bought the XBox version on release day and it held my attention for a few months. The game was much preferred to MW3 in most respects, but it wasn't enough to hold my attention for long. Eventually, the disc was removed from the xbox tray and stowed away in its case never to be opened again.

Perma-unlocked OVSAT

I haven't had much practice with using the Orbital VSAT. I don't recall exactly when it's available, but the level requirement is high enough where there isn't much playtime before it's time to prestige again. As a result, I decided to permanently unlock it.

Avisynth tinkering

Here is the current state of my project. Rather, my idea of what my project will be. I've began by creating a blank clip that supposedly spans the the entirety of the longest clip. Next, I overlaid one clip and then again overlaid a third clip to the resulting video.

CoD, YouTube, Avisynth

I've been playing a great deal of Black Ops 2 lately. I haven't as much experience as the most die hard Call of Duty players since my exposure to it began with Black Ops 1. Nevertheless, I'm making up for the lost time. I feel the biggest reason is because of the Hauppauge HD PVR2 Gaming Edition that I purchased about a month ago.

I am a software developer by trade, but I do not work in the game industry. As a gaming enthusiast, I constantly read about how developers do not gain any money on used game sales. As a developer myself, I will always support my fellow developers because I know the tediousness of coding and they've certainly earned every penny for the game they helped create.

Stats matter?

If there is one feature in CoD games that is the source of all the rage, it is the Stats. I remember playing countless hours of various shooter's (Tribes, CounterStrike, Quake II, TF2 ...) several years ago and none of them has ever evoked such emotion from me as CoD does today.

Go ahead, rage quit

Last night was the worst evening of Black Ops 2 ever! Nothing I did produced positive results either for my team or for myself. To make it worse, I was in a full party too.

As my previous post stated, I am a proud owner of a WiiU. It was my first (ever) console launch purchase and I was both intrigued and excited.
